Most of junior schools in China have just installed their multimedia facilities last years, and still don't have wifi in all these schools.Students can only get their information through their English books and teachers.This summer, I taught in such a school. I noticed that they were tired of the knowledge taght by teacher again and again, for they had read their book for times after class.At the same time, their learning materials were almost the same as what I've learnt in my junior schools.
I download Annoying Orange from the internet and made some short dialogue from Big Bang Theory, because they were just learning fruit names and greetings to each other.Obviously, they had a great time during that class.
Here are some pictures I took from their classes,and we can see that their studying enviroment is quite limited.
After summer camp,many students came to ask my QQ and wanted to put me into their QQ group.
They went back home every two weeks and were not allowed to use computer in school.
I was wondering how to use IT in teaching more effectively,helping them learn happily and jump out of the conservative thinking mode,letting them contact more with this fantastic world.
