abt the activities--Teaching and learning with IT

First of all, what is IT, in this course, IT=information technology.
IT deals with the use of electronic computers and computer software to securely convert, store, protect, process, transmit, input, output, and retrieve information.Meanwhile, the substance of teaching and learning is information communication and creation.

From these 2 graphs, we figure that the whole teaching and learning module doesn’t change, however we just make some of its steps connecting with IT, then the whole process will be much more efficient, enrichable, timesaving, etc.

Let me make some examples for proving.
About teaching, what makes me very memorable was the use of IT in teaching Chinese opera overseas. The traditional way of teaching arts must be face to face, and the teaching is instantly.
It is not like teaching math or Language could through taking notes. Especially overseas teaching, due to lack of teachers, it makes arts teaching less effective. WhenＩdid exchange programme in Singapore , Some teacher made use of IT in their Class for Chinese opera superficially teaching. Like, they show the videos of latest performances through Internet. A student may be very interested in Chinese opera, however she doesn’t need to come to China on her own, she can know what it is like nowadays. She also can download the videos for learning some of the skills by repeating any times she wants. In this way, Chinese opera teaching would be more vivid than the teacher describes from book or watching old videos which made long time ago. The students gain the fresh knowledge better. Now, let’s compare our study in the past and now. We can download handouts before class from email or moodle , so students could do enough preparation. Also, students could download PPT after class for reviewing. So IT makes learning continually.
